The Palisades Long-Term Recovery Group (Pali LTRG) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Measures we take
- Semantic, keyboard-navigable HTML and descriptive link text.
- Text and interface colors chosen for sufficient contrast against their backgrounds.
- Descriptive
alttext on meaningful images and labels on form fields. - Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting, so animations are reduced for visitors who request it.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom.
Known limitations
Some content migrated from our previous website, as well as third-party tools (such as the donation and disaster-registration systems we link to), may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. We are working to identify and address these areas.
