About DAHF Program Disaster Aid for Host Families (DAHF) Program is funded in part by a grant from the American Red Cross to Support Households offering housing to individuals and families displaced by the 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires. Eligible households can receive financial support for 3-months of $150 per person each month, with a maximum of $750, depending on the size of the displaced family they are accommodating. Hosts may qualify for an additional 3-months of assistance at the end of the initial period. Program Eligibility Host Family and Displaced Family must be California residents. Must be living in Host Family’s permanent housing accommodations (tents and temporary shelters not eligible). Must be able to provide address and verification for Displaced Family’s disaster affected address; including damage assessments (if requested). Host Family must meet income eligibility requirements (120% of AMI or less) Host Family must agree to home visit (announced or unannounced). Must comply with monthly assessments.
