The Palisades Reconstructionist congregation had 250 member families lose their homes entirely and another 250 temporarily displaced. Roughly 16 months after the fire, in May 2026, its nearly 900 families carried their Torah scrolls back into the Sunset Boulevard sanctuary — one of the first returns by a religious institution to Pacific Palisades since January 2025.
