County lifts ocean water advisories at fire-affected beaches

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health lifted the ocean water advisory that had covered the coastline from Las Flores State Beach to Santa Monica State Beach since the fire, declaring fire-affected beaches safe for swimming.

Officials continued to warn beachgoers to avoid fire debris in the water and to check the advisory hotline before swimming.
