PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Southern California Edison filed cross-complaints in Los Angeles Superior Court naming Los Angeles County, Pasadena Water and Power and five other water agencies, plus a separate complaint against SoCalGas, arguing they share responsibility for Eaton fire losses.
SCE cited failures to issue timely evacuation alerts, lack of water, overgrown brush on public land and insufficient fire suppression resources. Roughly 1,000 individual and business suits against SCE were already pending.
