PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — FEMA approved California's request to extend Individuals and Households Program financial housing assistance for eligible homeowners through July 9, 2027, and granted eligible renters a three-month extension through October 9, 2026.
FEMA cited continuing insurance issues, housing constraints and labor shortages. Renters in particular should note their window is far shorter and plan for the October cliff.
