PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — FireAid released an independent review by law firm Latham & Watkins concluding the charity distributed funds in line with its mission, with strong accountability measures and no misuse of funds.
The review followed the July viral claims and the congressional inquiry. Survivors questioning why they never received direct FireAid money should note the fund was designed to grant to service nonprofits, not households.
