PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Council District 11's February 21, 2026 Palisades update reported LADWP had begun draining Santa Ynez Reservoir to replace its floating cover, with construction expected to finish by fall 2026.
The reservoir's empty state during the January 2025 fire had been a central point of controversy, later addressed by the state's November 2025 water supply analysis.
