PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Governor Newsom toured recovery sites in Altadena and the Palisades on December 12, 2025, viewing homes nearing completion and stopping at the reopened Gladstones.
State officials reported permits across the region were being issued at nearly three times the pre-fire pace. In the Palisades, grading permits were running at 73% of new construction volume that month.
