PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Southern California Edison announced the first payment under its Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program 45 days after launch, validating the program's stated turnaround of roughly 30 days from a substantially complete claim to an offer.
Early published examples included nearly $650,000 for a total-loss tenant household and over $2.7 million for a total-loss owner household on top of insurance proceeds.
