PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Developer Rick Caruso launched Steadfast LA, a civic nonprofit meant to bridge public and private recovery efforts in the Palisades, Malibu and Altadena.
Its programs went on to include a small business initiative seeded with a $1 million Banc of California donation offering grants up to $50,000, a partnership with Samara to donate prefabricated homes to low-income owners, and free AI permitting software for local governments.
