PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Hundreds gathered at the American Legion post in Pacific Palisades for a white-glove ceremony honoring the 12 families who lost loved ones, with 13 memorials placed — one for each victim and one for the uncounted lives lost in the fire's aftermath.
Names were called during a moment of silence. In west Altadena, residents held their own gathering outside Fair Oaks Burger without elected officials present.
